As the leaves start to fall and the first frosts creep across the fields, Baby Moon invites you to The Enchanted Trail.

Launching Saturday 21 November, this magical midwinter adventure meanders along mystical woodland paths. Look out for traces of fairy folk along the way; visit Hobgoblin Village; peep inside Fairy Finder’s Retreat and be captivated by the Fairy Museum.

Tiptoe into the Golden Glade; catch a glimpse of tiny houses and mysterious doorways and listen out for tinkling music on the breeze.

Try your hand at fishing for stars; whisper a wish at the shimmering tree of mirrors and gift the elves and fairies a treasure token.

Rediscover the joy of nature. Lean back on one of our Sky Viewing Posts and enjoy cloud spotting or star gazing. Crunch the leaves beneath your feet and listen out for the call of our resident owl. Breathe deep and inhale the scents of the seasons.

Meet our ancient woodland trees and discover our new planting (courtesy of Tees Community Forest). Wander amongst hornbeam hedges, a willow arch, an avenue of birches, Japanese tiny forests, an orchard of fig, apple, pear and plum trees and edible clusters of walnut trees, cranberry and mulberry – all whilst searching for traces of the elusive elves and fairies.

Linger a while after your visit and treat yourself to a hot chocolate and a fairy cake around an open fire.

We can’t wait to welcome you all.

Where the magic happens.

Enchanted Trail FAQ

The Enchanted Trail opens Saturday 21 November and runs on various days until January 3.  There are two slots each day – a daytime session at 2pm and an illuminated dusk slot at 4.30pm.  The trail itself only takes approximately 40 minutes but your two hour slot will allow time for parking, checking in and a treat of hot chocolate at the end.

Tickets are on sale now priced £5 for children and £7.50 for adults (plus b/f).

The trail is on chipped paths through woodland and grass. We do have an all-terrain wheelchair and two all-terrain pushchairs available. Please contact us in advance if you would like to use these. We apologise but we do not have accessible toilet facilities available.

This is an outdoor activity so please dress appropriately. We recommend wellies, waterproofs and lots of layers – although feel free to add some fairy wings and a crown!

We have a car park but this is limited to 20 cars so you must book a car parking space before you book your tickets. Parking slots are free but must be reserved in advance so we can ensure everyone can fit on site. Please make sure you have left the car park by the end of your slot so we can welcome the next guests.

The Enchanted Trail will go ahead regardless of the weather. The only time we will cancel is if the winds are too high, which makes entering the woods unsafe. In this case, we will contact you with alternative dates.

The Enchanted Trail is not suitable for dogs due to the terrain and wildlife. Thanks for your understanding.
